I very much agree with everything said. Top quality entries throughout. Only negative was the poor lighting in places which made it a challenge to see some birds. However, overall, the location is a thousand times better then the cold freezing, and dark cattle barn in Woodstock.

Same here, unreal venue and hands down one of the best shows Ive ever attended. I will start a post with some of the winners I can recall And actually, Mr Becker, Im happy you posted was wondering if we might ask you about some classes you judged and some things that may have caught your eye? And maybe how on champ row the three of put your heads together to select the champs..??

Fabulous show with a great location.
Some wonderful birds in good numbers - so nice to see.
The show champion was a stunning Speckled Sussex pullet bred by Brian Woods. She had great presence and type and colour. It is nice to see a wonderful breed making an outstanding comeback.

Darren, I would be happy to answer any questions you or others may have about the classes that I judged and about the picking of the champions.

On behalf of all of the OPB show committee I would like to say a big thank you to all that supported our show , it's a lot of work but the exhibitors comments and the smiles on everyone's faces makes the whole thing worth it . Once again in the words of one of last years judges " the room was happy" Once I recover ( tired today for some reason )I will post a complete list of the results . In fear of missing some one I just want to say a big thanks to all who came out. . Took part helped and hopefully enjoyed the show .. Also a big thanks to our judges Mike Becker , Paul Kroll And Ralph Beamer thanks for a smooth & efficient day of judging. . Mark your calendars for Nov 22 2014 for our 21 st show . Same location. We met with the management of the venue after clean up and they were happy to hear we want to come back . Great to work with a venue who wants to work with you . Watch for details on this sight and the Feather Fancier np for more info in the near future . Thanks again to all Troy

Sorry .. this proffessional photographer? .. well... he called me a day prior to the show... asked if he could come...I never got his name and the phone only ran once so I do not even have his number on the call display.... I said yes but told him he would be on his own as I would not have time to hold his hand... I did ask for a business card upon his arrival but never got one ( not a priorty that day) and I have not so much as heard a peep since.. no idea other than I think he is from Down Town ( Toronto). Makes me a little stand offish when it comes to these types.. as what will he do with these photos??I feel the same with many of the TV people... I have been filmed ( judging and showing) by so many I can not count .. from Mass to California and all points between ... and as normal.. they never seem to be able to get it from our level to the big box... only has been one exception that being a tongue in cheak film hosted by Fred Willard on Animal Planet called " Fowl Play" I had a flash cameo as did several other judges while picking champions at a APA Naptional in California ( PPBA ) ...Have made the 6 PM news a few times in the USA but that is rare...My thoughts on the photos taken at OPB this year... Be looking in a kiosk in a mall near you next Nov .. you will probably see your bird in a calander ???lol... I will adventually track him down. Sorry I did not pay more attention to him... TL

Thanks for the reply Troy. Wow yes come to think of it I asked for a card too and he didn't have one. what kind of "professional" doesn't bring cards with them to an event? I gave him mine so I could get some photo's that he took of my birds, never heard from him.
LOL guess I will start looking at my local kiosks for my birds pic;s lol

He did take some lovely photos of "Goose". Awesome photos actually. I have his contact info and have tried emailing him several times in order to get copies of the photos. No response. I will let you know if I hear anything.
