Well for those that subscribe to the Feather Fancier and saw the article about the APA wanting to host a show of all show for the best of the best, heres the info:
This was posted on another site, and also in the Poultry Press, so its in circulation.
Let the discussion begin
THE EVENT THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING
History will prove exhibition poultry has never experienced anything like this. Mark your calendars for November 21st and 22nd, 2014 (two weeks after the wonderful ABA Anniversary show in Columbus). Prepare yourself for a spectacular event that will leave you excited for the next one.
Prestige is the key word, cash is the reality, and education will be the final result. This event promotes only North America's BEST in purebred poultry. This show does not promote huge numbers, it promotes PRESTIGE. APA/ABA rules are still in place but EVERYTHING will promote "class".
Entry is $25.00 (twenty five) per bird, resulting in the largest amount of cash available for the winners in the history of purebred poultry.
Examples of available cash are:
1)-Based on two hundred birds entered-CHAMPION BIRD equates to $1500.00 (plus an additional $1100.00 in awards)
2)-Based on three hundred birds entered-CHAMPION BIRD equates to $2500.00(plus an additional $1800.00 in awards)
3)-Based on four hundred birds entered-CHAMPION BIRD equates to $3500.00 (plus an additional $2600.00 in awards)
4)-Based on five hundred birds entered-CHAMPION BIRD equates to $4500.00 (plus an additional $3700.00 in awards).
This will be the first time anything like this has been accomplished and you will not want to miss history in the making. The more birds shown, the more cash available. APA points and ABA Starred wins will be available but PRESTIGE is the goal.
Imagine the Nation's TOP breeders in a highly concentrated event where ANY bird exhibited has the legitimate capability of winning the show. EVERY BIRD IS A TRUE CONTENDER. Our goal is QUALITY not quantity. Imagine winning the BREEDERS CUP, and the bragging rights that will ensue. Imagine a top five placing at this event, and the honor that will bring. This competition will include only the cream of the crop and winners will be recognized THE BEST OF THE BEST by their peers.
Every APA/ABA recognized breed and variety of poultry is welcomed to be exhibited at the beautiful Events Center in Webster City, IA. Just north of Des Moines and Ames, Webster City is off I-35 and is the home of Murray McMurray Hatchery. The city has a beautiful new facility with stadium style seating so everyone can enjoy this event.
There will be a professional photographer to take photos of your birds FOR FREE. We will have a cocktail event on Friday evening and a white table cloth event on Saturday evening. Bermudian poultry breeder, and professional entertainer, Ronnie Lopes will be the emcee during the whole event.
Workshops are being scheduled for all the surrounding state's 4-H poultry project youth to come and learn, and also see the country's best breeders and their poultry.
Mark your calendars and plan your breeding/hatching season accordingly. For additional information CONTACT-- BART PALS---641-430-2916.
