Here are a couple of my cockerels from this year. They Hatched in February, so they are still filling in. They are also still getting their hackels and this first one is only 3/4 done growing his main tail sickles. Please let me know what you guys think of them. I am new to this, and I really need all the input I can get. Thanks DAVE

Looking good!.......right now I perfer the second one, but I feel the first one could not be standing properly. Looking forward to seeing them in real life.

Thanks! I'm pleased with them. The first one is still filling in. The lack of hackles puts his balance off I think. I have some really nice pullets, but the leg colour is really bad. I might try and get some pictures of them in the next couple of days. Out of 75 chicks with every pair I could make from the 5 birds that bred, I didn't get a single pullet with out black on the shanks and toes. I think I am missing an ingredient needed in my mix. I don't see how I can fix it with what I have either. Dave

Hi Dave, Really nice cockerels! I also prefer the second one. However, I would like to see his wing carriage a little higher, like the first one. Here's a pic of one of Art Lundgren's Cockrels a few years ago. Similar tail carriage to your second bird but deeper chest and higher wing carriage. I think your definitely headed in the right direction and will have some kick-ass birds this fall. Hope you can make Acton! I have a feeling there might be a lot of Wyandottes. lol Keep up the great work! Cheers, Woodsy

Thanks Brian! I think you are being generous though. Lol. They aren't quite up to being compared to Art's champions. Although the farther of that second bird is that Lundgren cock I got from Stephan. I don't think the wings will get better with age on this one. I do hope that the front line will improve. Dave

Here is 51 again. He has filled in a bit since the last shot. Here is one of my Pullets. and here is a brother to the pullet #55 I had to cull A LOT of defects to get to these ones, and by no means are they perfect, but I think I'm on the right track. I would appreciate any and all criticism. Thanks DAVE

Thanks Brian! She is not free from faults though. Her legs are black up the fronts, hock to toe nail, and she is pretty darn big! But I do love her type and feather quality. I think a little selection from her will help me get the size down, and I have a smaller sister that is similar.

Totally new here, and don't have any of these birds.....yet. But I would feel very grateful for some of your culls. You are doing an incredible job. Congrats, keep up the good work. Beautiful birds from a dedicated breeder.

Is she younger than the previous pullet? I like her a lot, really nice wing carriage. Maybe, just needs to finish the tail more. Keep up the great work.

She is a baby. She hasn't laid an egg yet. Her tail is better than the picture suggests. It's tough to get good pictures of these guys. Lol. I'm really pleased with this one.

She went reserve Wyandotte at colwyn over the weekend. I was brushing pins out of her head the day before. Lol. Hopefully I can keep that nice yellow in her legs till OPB. I figure she will be even nicer by then type wise.
