Recently I attended a show which had a large pilgrim class. Many comments were made about the size of some of the pilgrims there. Not a word of a lie (and have someone on here that will confirm this) but pilgrim ganders in the states were bigger than many of the embdens shown.... mine, which I obtained from Peter Zillioto were quite small (and bred to weight), but comments I heard were, "get them bigger, bigger is better" I am quite happy and content breeding these to the standard, afterall its what breeding towards the standard is all about isn't it? I guess mine did okay especially capturing res med goose on a young gander
