I'm new so take this with a grain on sand. I just like the idea of this and want to get the discussion going. I really like him. His feather quality looks nice and his curves are good and tight. Nice tail carriage. Good full tail too. It could be just the picture... It's tough to get them to stand for pictures... But the wings look a little low, and it looks like he might be a touch brassy in the back. It's tough to see his head In the picture but it looks like his comb might be a touch on the large side. Once again... I have no experience with this breed, and he does look very nice. I just want to get the discussion started. Dave

Hey Dave Thanks for the reply! I have a head shot of this male that shows much better - I really like the head on this male. He was prancing around the lawn - tough to get him to stand still - He usually carries his wing up higher. What I am really impressed with if the feather quality and width. He is pure white no brassiness at all probably just the picture. I like this male for front as well - nice and full around the breast and keel. The 2 hens pictured are from 2 seperate lines - The only real difference between the 2 is one line has a longer back.

Oh ya, that is a nice head! Great looking pullets too! I almost like the longer one better. Her tail carriage is a bit closer to the breed description and her bone looks a little heavier. The short one kind of looks a rose comb and a cushion away from a Wyandotte! I love the feather quality on them.... Well as much as you can tell from a picture. Definitely nice looking birds! Which line is the cockerel from?

The Cock is a full brother to the first Hen pictured - I do agree with you comment on the tail, the first hen looks to be a little higher than the standard 20 degree but otherwise i really like her. A cushion are you wyandotte breeders trying to get rid of that ?? LOL Both females are nice full bodied with good sturcture - these 2 are what I plan to build my foundation with.

Ha ha! She could fix a few of the problems wyandottes seem to have. Lol. I would say you have a very good start. If he is brother to the first one you should get good birds of both sexes coming out of them.

pics say a thousand words and thanks for posting em. the first pullet(and again its based on a pic) I am not a fan of her wing carriage as much as on the 2nd pullet. that second pullet is a great looking bird. great front end, balanced leg set and nice/proper rise in back. and shes got a back ;)2nd pullet has nice wing carriage also. and watch the fluff in the back end. I really like the second pully john. but again based on the info asked from the provided pics, its what I see
